Thomas Paradis

Profile: Tom is Associate Provost and Professor of Geography at Butler University in Indianapolis, IN, having recently moved to the Midwest after 18 years at Northern Arizona University. At NAU he has served as the university's Director of Academic Assessment 2005-2011 and served as a President's Distinguished Teaching Fellow. His teaching and research interests include urban geography and development, cultural landscape studies, community and urban design, architectural history, tourism development, geography education, and assessment of student learning. He has taught at NAU since 1997 and holds a BS Geography degree from Penn State University, and MS and Ph.D. degrees in Geography from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
